Another beautiful sunny day - yea! Today I am showing a 12" x 12" oil painting on gallery wrap canvas (deeper edges with the painting wrapping around the sides) so no frame is needed. It is listed for $200.-

The title is Working Girl and that is the text that is also included in the painting. I guess that could be me - a working girl - I hope I don't look like that. Although, she is kind've striking and a fun looking gal. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any questions or interest in Working Girl. You can e-mail me. (Sorry I didn't get the photo cropped - my computer was misbehaving).

I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and so thankful that I am in a nice warm, cozy place - very thankful indeed. I think winter is a beautiful season but the older I get the less I like the cold temp's.. A month of winter would probably be sufficient for me. The sun is shining and I think we are to have a bit of a heat wave this weekend - mid 30's. Anyway, I decided to put a cheerful little painting up today. It is a 5" x 7" oil painting of one of my favorite cups and saucers filled with mini roses. It is looking for a good home.

January 29, 2009

My first day blogging - kind've an adventure for a visual artist. I'm accustomed to communicating my thoughts and feelings primarily through my art not so much the written word. However, I've thought about doing this for some time now and finally decided to jump in and 'just do it'. I've had a list of things to do, things I want to do, that haven't gotten done but I finally decided there's no better time than the present.

I will be posting an assortment of paintings and drawings. Some are done in a day and others involve more time, some are experimental. They are all available for sale unless otherwise indicated. I hope you enjoy viewing them.

Carpe Diem!
